Helen N Anderson, 82, of Paris died Thursday, March 9, 2000, at Christus St. Joseph's Hospital.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 11, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. L. C. Stout officiating, assisted by the Rev. Carter Lyles. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Deport. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-3 p.m. Saturday prior to the funeral.

A lifetime resident of Deport, she was born there March 27, 1917 to H. O. and Alice McGill Hignight. She married Roy L. Anderson, December 24, 1938, in Deport. He died September 30, 1998.

Surviving are five daughters, Nora McDowra and Marlin of Paris, Reva Stout and Johnny of Paris, Pam Butler and Billy of Paris. Barbara Parham of Atlanta, Georgia, Sandra Eggleston and Stephen of Texas City; sisters, Artie Lee Short of Paris and Nelda Campbell of Ben Franklin; a brother, Grady Hignight of Sherman; 12 grandchildren, Jeff McDowra, Marla Evans, Bobbie Murray, Yvonne Ballard, Mitchell Stout, Tammy Stankus, Tony Lewis, Leta Butler, all of Paris, Deania Piper of Scottsdale, Arizona, Allison Parham of Atlanta, Georgia, Jennifer Eggleston of Texas City; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Anderson, a daughter, Kathy Anderson, and two brothers, Malcolm Hignight and "Nig" Hignight.

Pallbearers will be Mitchell Stout, Jeff McDowra, Tony Lewis, Greg Ballard, Jeff Stankus, and James Evans.
