Survived by her parents, Richard H. and Jeanette; brother, Michael; several aunts and uncles. Funeral services at 10am Monday from the Routsong Funeral Home, 6 Oakwood at Irving Ave., Rev. Clair Kohr officiating. Burial Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home 3-7 p.m. Sunday. If desired, friends may make a memorial contributions to the charity of their choice.

Mary Ann was my friend in high school and college. She was going to be in my wedding in the summer of 1985 and was excited about it, but died before my (first) marriage. Mary Ann had a bicycle accident in which she fell and broke her arm. While in surgery, however, a fatal mistake was made by the anesthesiologist which put her into a coma. Once it was determined there was no hope for recovery, her parents made the painful decision to turn off her life support.

I still think of her often and wonder how her life may have turned out had she lived.

Both of her parents have since died and are buried near her.
