Muriel was in the Salvation Army prior to and during WWII. While in service, she was active in helping people during the Blitz of London. After the war, she migrated to Canada where she met James "Fay" Baichtal I (b. 1888, d. 1979) at the Calgary Stampede. She married Fay in 1946.
Muriel and Fay lived in Red Bluff, California on a small ranch and eventually moved to Encinitas, California where they had a house next to the Pacific Ocean.
Muriel had no children of her own, although she was a wonderful, loving Step-Grandmother and Great-Aunt to Fay's Family. She will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
