Funeral services for James Alton "Buddy" Boyd will be held Saturday, February 22 at Boeuf River Baptist Church with visitation starting at 10:00 am and services starting at 11:00 am. Rev. Jimmy Harper and Rev. Benton Moore and Rev Bruce Cardin officiating. Interment will follow at Ogden Cemetery in Liddieville.
Buddy was born on April 5th, 1945 and passed from this life on February 20th 2014. He is preceded in death by his Father - Lee Boyd, and three brothers- Billy Boyd, Harvey Boyd and wife Tinker, and Charles Boyd.
He is survived by his wife Glenda Warner Boyd, his mother Nancy "Sis" Boyd, son Kevin Boyd and wife Karen, daughter Christy Hill and husband Skipper, two brothers, Wayne Boyd and wife Margaret, and Johnny Boyd and wife Diane. Two sisters Carolyn Boyd and Maxine Mays. Four grandchildren Coby Hill, Kylie Hill, Caleb Hill, and Cooper Hill and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers are Mike Austin, Richie Poland, Larry Don Brown, Mike Poland, Jeff Poland, and David DeBlieux.
