The former Armilla J. Wagner was born September 10, 1921 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Frank and Johanna (Stephani) Wagner. She married Daniel Mrotek on August 29, 1942. He preceded her in death in March 29, 2002. Armilla and her husband Daniel were co-owners of Mrotek Greenhouses. Armilla was a member of First German Ev. Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid, Ladies Choir, former member of Mixed Choir of First German, Auxiliary member of Silver Creek Fire Department and a 4-H Leader for 21 years.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: David E. (Diane) Mrotek, Manitowoc; Charles (Joann) Mrotek, CA; one son-in-law: Wayne Luebke, Maribel; one sister and brother-in-law: Marcy (Vernon) Eisner, Manitowoc; one sister-in-law: Evelyn Wagner, MI; 8 grandchildren: Daniel Mrotek, Berlin; Bonnie (Kevin) Shepard, Manitowoc; Kerry Mrotek, Manitowoc; Brenda (Brian) Wolf, Green Bay; Michael Luebke, Maribel; David Mrotek and family, CA; Christopher Mrotek and family, CA; John Mrotek and family, TX; three step-grand children: Kenny (Joanna) Mack, Rudolph; Tania Brown, Manitowoc; Jaxon Brown, Appleton; great grandchildren; long time special friend: Marion Thiel, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Frank and Johanna Wagner; her Husband: Daniel Mrotek; one daughter: Patricia Luebke; one brother: Edward Wagner.
Funeral services will he held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at First German Ev. Lutheran Church, 1033 South 8th Street, Manitowoc. Rev. Benjamin Schaefer and Rev. Christopher Hoppe will be officiating. Burial will be at Knollwood Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 1122 South 8th Street, Manitowoc and again on Thursday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made in her name to First German Ev. Lutheran Church or Manitowoc Lutheran High School. The Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
