H.W.Adkins, 67, Dies In Hospital

ANSTED (RNS) — Harmon William Adkins, 67, of Ansted died Thursday evening in a Montgomery hospital after a long illness.

He was a retired Chesapeake and Ohio Railway employee.

Born May 31, 1902, at Dry Branch, he was a son of the late Nathan and Rosie Bennett Adkins.

Survivors include his wife, Goldie; three daughters, Mrs. Novella Johnson of Quinwood and Mrs. Betty Blair and Mrs. Frances Johnson, both of Ansted; five sons, Shirley, Virgil and Jeff, all of Ansted, Billy Joe of Ronceverte and Danny of Madison, Ohio, and 15 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Wallace and Wallace Chapel in Ansted with Rev. Watson Dufor in charge. Burial will be in the Adkins Cemetery at Beckwith.

The body will remain at the funeral home where friends may call after 6 p.m. today.
