Thurzer was the daughter of Albert Sidney Barker Sr. and Coma Ella Allen. She married James Perry McLemore on Feb 14, 1915 and they had 6 children: Virginia Rachel (Marcus) Sloan; James Sidney (Jean) McLemore; Coma Pearl(Clarence) Haugh, (James) Kearney; Edward Eugene (Mary) McLemore; Fairy Bell (Richard) Edwards; and Doris Mae (Truman) Weeks. They also had 14 granchildren who all called her "mammie". She was a loving mother and a wonderful grandmother and made the best cookies out of biscuit dough.

She was my maternal grandmother.
