Michael D. Day, age 71, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Monday, September 30, 2013, at The Woodlands of Middletown where he had been a patient for two months.
He was born July 21, 1942, in Middletown, Ohio, and graduated from Fenwick High School in the class of 1960. He attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska; and did his MA and doctoral course work at Arizona State University.
He was ordained a Roman Catholic priest in 1971 and worked as deacon at St. Timothy's Church in San Mateo, California.
Preceding him in death were his parents, John N. and Anna D. (Domhoff) Day.
He is survived by his sister, Rosemary Back and [her] husband Thomas Back.
The family extends its special thanks and appreciation to friends Sandy and Tony Rogers for their loving care of Michael during the past several years.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 3, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown, followed by services at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Mr. John Lyons officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery, Middletown, Ohio.
