Uncle Bob, as he was known to his friends, is survived by his brother and sister, Gerald M. Anhorn and Maryalis Klicker, both of Walla Walla, Washington. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Anhorn in 1993.
In 1945 he joined the Army Corp. He graduated from the Army's Aerial Photography School in Colorado in Oct 1945, and went on to be stationed in active duty in Panama and Brazil from 1945, until he was honorably discharged on Dec 11th, 1946.
After the Army, Bob returned to Walla Walla and enrolled in Whitman College, for a brief while, but at this point, Bob knew that International travel and work was truly his passion.
He lived and worked all through South America, Central America, and eventually went on to Vietnam.
He married Nhan Tran in the early 1970's, and eventually she and her daughter, Lilly T. all settled in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
He retired and moved back to the Southern California, in 1994, where he spent his final years, enjoying the sun, beach and his photography.
