LEROY -- The funeral for Emmet C. Berhow will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at LeRoy Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Thomas Kolden officiating. Spring burial will be in LeRoy Lutheran Cemetery.
Mr. Berhow, 87, of Adams, formerly of LeRoy, died Monday (Feb. 23, 2004) at Adams Health Care Center.
He was born June 27, 1916, in Kossuth City, Iowa. On March 23, 1975, he married Ruth Ahrens at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. His interests included horses, John Deere tractors, farming, fishing and bowling.
Survivors include his wife of Adams; a stepson, Keith (Dianne) Ahrens of LeRoy; a stepdaughter, Karen Knudson of Ellendale, Minn.; five stepgrandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and three sisters, Amelia, Joni and Maxine. He was preceded in death by a grandson, five brothers and five sisters.
Friends may call an hour before the service Thursday at the church.
