DEATH OCCURS FOR ELEANOR K. MEYER

Solemn Requiem High Mass was sung at St. Augustine church at 9 a.m. Wednesday for Mrs. Eleanor K. Meyer, aged 56 years and three months, a lifetime resident of the Minster community, who died Saturday morning after a long illness.

Mrs. Meyer, who had been in failing health the past year, was bedfast for a week. Her death, which occurred in St. Rita's Hospital at Lima, was attributed to complications.

Born Feb 10, 1890, she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Elizabeth (Krampe) Fischer. Her marriage to Alex Meyer took place at St. Augustine's church June 6, 1911. The couple resided on a farm one and a half miles east of the village.

Survivors, in addition to the husband, are four sisters and two brothers, Mrs. William (Josephine) Berning, Minster; Mrs. Albert (Frances) Stueve, Dayton; Mrs. Julius (Anna) Meyer, Mrs. Elmer (Matilda) Bensman, and Herbert and Louis Fischer, all of Minster.

A faithful member of the St. Augustine congregation, Mrs. Meyer was active in the St. Monica Ladies' sodality of the parish, of which group she was president at the time of her passing. She received the last sacrament of the Catholic church.

Rev. Fr. Anthony Migoni was celebrant of the funeral mass Wednesday morning. Assisting as deacon and subdeacon, respectively, were Rev. Frs. Joseph Busse and Everistus Olberding.

Burial was made in the church cemetery. The pallbearers were Richard Wuebker, Ferd Nedderman, Joseph Westerheide, Anthony Bornhorst, Matt Schemmel and Cletus Koverman.
