June 22, 2008 Jeanne H. Collins, 89, of Houston, TX, formerly of the Mexico area, died Sunday at the home of her son in Houston. Her husband, James "Rip" Collins, died in 1970. Surviving: one son, Randall Collins of Houston, TX; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday from Harter Funeral Home, 9 Washington Ave, Mexico, NY. Burial will be in Mexico Village Cemetery. Calling hours will be noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Jeanne was both a stage and screen actress. Theatergoers who saw Kay Kyser's "You'll Find Out," will remember the lovely girl who played the role of the debutante.
