John Henry Demaine, born in Bolton England. Husband of Hannah Edge Demaine, father of William, John, Harry, and Fred. John came to this country in 1907 with his oldest son, William. He ran a barber shop in Woonsocket, RI before working in the Esmond Mills. The family lived in the Esmond village of Smithfield for many years. At some time in the 1920's John Henry "Jack" relocated to New Jersey with Jane Riley Sugden. He ran a shop in Paterson, and lived out the rest of his days in New Jersey. John Henry Demaine has no headstone at this present time.
