Raised in Kansas City, MO, Len attained the status of Eagle Scout and graduated from Westport HS. After spending two years mining and assaying in SW Colorado, he entered the University of Kansas where he graduated with a BS in Chemical Engineering. Tapped by the US Army, he served in Los Alamos, NM on the Manhattan Project during WWII, marrying Ann Park during this time in Albuquerque, NM. Post war he was hired by Standard Oil of Indiana and transferred to Neodesha, KS where he and Ann raised their children. In 1965 an overseas transfer took them to Brisbane, Australia returning later to Bismarck ND. Later an assignment took the family to Singapore and back again to Bismarck with a final assignment in Indiana. Retirement from Amoco brought Len and Ann to Scottsdale, AZ where he enjoyed socializing and his lifelong hobbies of stamp collecting and travel. Len will be missed for his devotion to family, his self-reliance, his sense of adventure and humor. He leaves to mourn his loss 3 daughters, a son, ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.
