OBITUARY: Cassville Democrat, March 19, 1927, pg 1 - Jerry Allman dies at his Wheaton home. -- Jerry Allman was born Sept. 29, 1871 in Barry County where he spent most of his life. He was 55 years, 6 months and 12 days old. He departed this life to go home to receive his reward March 15, 1927. In 1900 he was married to Alice Crane. To this union were born 5 children of whom 3 are living. He professed faith in Christ at the 11th hour and continuously warned others not to waste their life as he had done. He leaves besides a wife, three children, 2 sisters and 5 brothers and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his departure. The family wishes to extend their thanks to their friends and neighbors for their kindness during the illness and death of their loved one. Funeral services were held at Munsey Chappel (sic) at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday by Rev. Jas T. Brattin.
