William Davis Trask of Beaufort, SC, entered into eternal life on the morning of Tuesday, February 25, 2014. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at 11:00am on Friday, February 26, 2014, at the Parish Church of Saint Helena. Interment will be in the churchyard. A reception will be held at the Best Western Sea Island Inn on Bay Street following the service. William was born on April 21, 1951, in Charleston, SC, and raised in Beaufort, SC, the son of Harold Eugene Trask and Margaret Scheper Trask. He was a member of the first graduating class of Beaufort Academy. William was a graduate of the University of South Carolina and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. As a Certified Public Accountant, William was a partner with Trask and Lynn, C.P.A., P.A. William was a lifelong member of the Parish Church of Saint Helena. William served the Beaufort community with great enthusiasm. This is reflected by his various board positions and charitable work. This included work as Chairman of the United Way, President of the Sea Island Rotary, a member of the Beaufort Academy Board of Directors, member of the Young Life Committee, and as a vestry member at the Parish Church of Saint Helena. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Priscilla Aimar Trask, of Beaufort; one son, William Davis Trask, Jr., of Charleston, SC; one daughter, Sarah Trask Burrus, and her husband, Edward Perry Burrus, of Beaufort, SC; four grandchildren, Ward, Patrick, James, and Amelia; three brothers and one sister, Harold Eugene Trask, of Charleston, SC, John Donald Trask, of Asheville, NC, James Heidi Trask, of Beaufort, SC, and Margaret Scheper Trask of Portland, ME. He is also survived by his lifelong friend and childhood caregiver, Rosalyn Marie Harvey, of Beaufort, SC. He was predeceased in death by his sister, Kitty Trask Holt, of Charleston, SC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Young Life of Beaufort, P.O. Box 1885, Beaufort, SC, 29901. Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family.
