"FUNERAL OF WILLIAM G. NIXON

Services Yesterday Afternoon From His Late Residence.

The last sad rites were performed over all that was mortal of William G. Nixon yesterday afternoon, the funeral services being held at his late residence on West Commerce street at half past two o'clock.

From the door of the old Cumberland National Bank fluttered the black crepe that merely spoke of the departure of him who for so long had been identified with its progress and interests. Beside the relatives and intimate friends were a goodly number of representative business men who were present to pay the last token of respect to the one who had been a leader in financial circles.

The services were in the charge of Rev. Joseph Lyons Ewing, pastor of the West Presbyterian Church, who was assisted by Rev. Heber H. Beadle, pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church, and Rev. Dr. Brooks, of Trenton. There were many beautiful floral offerings, the one from Cumberland Bank being a broken column. Palms were also banked to form a background of green.

The pallbearers were six clerks of the bank of which Mr. Nixon was president: Frank E. Riley, E. R. Bonham, Arthur T. Wright, Herbert Allen, Leland O. Winn and B. F. Ogden. The interment was at Broad street cemetery."
