Corporal John S. Buckley served during the Civil War in Company K, 69th Pennsylvania Infantry. He also served in Company K, 21st Pennsylvania Infantry. He was wounded in action at the Battle of Antietam on Sept 17th, 1862. He fought at the Battle of Gettysburg during the repulse of Pickett's Charge on July 3rd, 1863. He was at the wall in front of the copse of trees in the center of the Union line.

BUCKLEY - Suddenly, on April 22, 1908, JOHN C. BUCKLEY, aged 67 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services, on Saturday, April 25, at 11 A. M., precisely, at his late residence, 642 North Seventeenth street. Interment private.
