THE BLOOMFIELD NEWS, Bloomfield, Greene County, Indiana

The entire community was sensibly shocked yesterday afternoon Feb 9, 1903 by the death of Mary Emma YARDLEY, which sad event occurred at 4:15 o'clock at the family residence, corner of Union and Dayton streets, the cause of death being neuralgia of the heart. The fatal illness seized her early yesterday morning, and no hope was entertained of her recovery.

Deceased was born near Farmer, in Owen County, March 29, 1866. She was a daughter of the late Jot Osborn. To her union with Robert K. YARDLEY four children were born, three of whom, two boys and a girl, survive her. She was a woman of domestic tastes, and her highest ambition was to make her home and its environments the happiest spot on earth to husband and the dear ones given into her care.

As wife, mother, neighbor, she was all that could be desired, and her untimely death will leave an aching void in the family circle and in the community which never will be filled.

The funeral will take place from the family residence at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon.
