Uncertainty as to birth date: 1901 census has July 19, the 1911 census says May and family trees consistently have Oct. 1.

She was prominent in educational work. She decided to move to the area of Morley, Alberta to do ranch work with her nephew, Lucius Quincy Colemen, her sister's son. She was unmarried.

Although her name is on the family stone in the Hamilton, Ontario cemetery, the office there said she was not buried there. (see memorial 125648854 for Hamilton, Ontario stone information) The Alberta Genealogical Society's Cemetery Database confirms her burial in the Wesley Band Cemetery, Morley.
