Maude Virginia Eblen, 75, of Danville, and formerly of Lynchburg, passed away Friday, February 28, 2014, in the Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem, NC, surrounded by family and friends. She was the wife of the late John Paul Eblen. Born in Christiansburg, VA, July 16, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Reuben Brumfield and Louvenie Craghead Brumfield. Although she did work throughout the years, she was dedicated to raising her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters. She is survived by two sons, Wayne Allen Evans and his wife, Penny of Winston Salem, NC, and Leonard Arenson Evans and his wife, Rhonda of Ringo, VA; two step-sons, John Eblen, and Steve Eblen; one sister, Mini Hall of Salem, VA, and four grandchildren, Michelle McDaniels and her husband, Mark, Bethany Rossi and her husband, Dante, Tiarrah Crouch, and Landon Evans. A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday March 3, 2014, at Fort Hill Memorial Park. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider a charity of your choice. Whitten Timberlake Chapel, Lynchburg, Virginia 434-239-0331 is serving the family.
