held at Oakdale Memorial Gardens. Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport, is in charge
of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity
Cathedral or Quad City Symphony Orchestra.
Mr. Waterman died Friday, Dec. 26, 1997, at Crest Health Care Center,
Davenport. He was born Aug. 25, 1908, in Davenport, to William and Ethel Baker
Waterman. He married Ruth Currens Nov. 25, 1939, in Macomb.
He retired in 1973 from the post of senior vice president and general counsel
at the former Iowa-Illinois Gas & Electric.
Surviving are his wife; daughters, Bethia Waterman, Big Indian, N.Y., and Day
Waterman, South Elgin, Ill.; and a granddaughter, Katherine Linebaugh,
Jakarta, Indonesia.
