Ronald attended Mt. Vernon and Pilgrim Elementary, Champion Jr. High, moved to Chicago, Illinois at age 13, returned to Columbus, Ohio at age 16, where he graduated from East High School class of 1953.
He worked as a Printer at The Ohio State News. He retired after 44 years of service at the United States Post Office.
Preceded in death by mother, Jean Davis Banks; loving aunt, Jane E. Davis; and grandmother Glenna Mae Davis.
Ronald is survived by son Ronald T. Cherry, Columbus, Ohio, daughter Rhonda J (Brian) White, Indianapolis, Indiana; sisters, Renella J (Herbert Jr.) Allen of St Louis, Missouri, Andrea Cherry Hernandez of Columbus, Ohio; nephew, Ronald Addis (Becky) Gray of Pahrump, Nevanda; former wife, Marilyn Cherry; grandson, Christopher Guay of Columbus, Ohio; his heart, granddaughter Destiny B. White of Indianapolis, Indiana; special friends, Jo Ann Chittenden, Careita Browder, Sandy Matthews and Mary Horton.; life-long friends, Howard Smallwood, Rudy Carter, Leon Edwards; and his special group of friends at the Hamilton Road – Winchester Pike White Castle.
