Daughter of William and Jane Dickey Gilmore, she married James Adams, was widowed, lived in Utica, died there of a coronary thrombosis and chronic myocarditis, per death certificate 73257, whose informant was Harriet Adams of Utica. Buried Jul 9 1937.

Franklin News-Herald, Wednesday, Jul 7 1937:
Mrs. Sara Jane Adams, 89, died at her home in Utica Tuesday evening.

She married James Adams and he preceded her in death.

Surviving are three sons and three daughters,, Charles, Edgar, William and Harriet of Utica, Mrs. C. M. Campbell of Franklin, and Mrs. L. S. McCabe of Cochranton; a sister, Mrs. W. F. Whitman of Chapmanville; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 pm Friday at her home with Rev. St. Claire, pastor of Utica Presbyterian Church, of which she was a member, officiating. Burial will be in Millcreek Cemetery.
