Obituary
Funeral services for Charles F. Ancelet, 81, of Basco were held Tuesday, Jan. 27, at 2 p.m. in the Basco Methodist church. Burial was in Basco south cemetery.

Mr. Ancelet died early Saturday morning in the Ranck Nursing Home in Carthage where he had been a patient since last April.

Born in Basco March 5, 1877, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Ancelet. His wife, the former Clara Launer, died about five years ago.

He was a member of the Basco Methodist Church and the Basco Masonic lodge.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Vera Mae Cozart, of Entiat, Wash., Mrs. Mabel Johnston, of Macomb and Mrs. Ellen Gavillet, of Galesburg; six sons, Raymond of Galesburg; Clarence of Carthage, Oscar of Medford, Ore., Herman of Castro Valley, Calif. and Lucien and Maurice of Basco; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lucien and Adolph, and a grandson.
