Lynwood Terry Rand of Naples, FL died on February 27, 2014.

Terry was born in Two Rivers, WI on November 17, 1934 to George and Albertine (Brault) Rand.

A lifelong Packers fan, Terry graduated from East High in Green Bay, WI; Marquette University and University of Denver Law School. He was a member of the Alpha Sigma Nu scholastic society. At Marquette, he earned All-American Honors in basketball and induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1996. Terry played professional basketball in Denver from 1956-1966; he was a member of the U.S. Olympic Team in 1956.

While playing ball in Denver, he began his financial investments career accumulating over 50 years of experience in Denver, Dallas and finally Rand Financial Advisors in Naples. He authored the monthly Rand Report for 21 years.

Terry loved his family and his friends like family. He loved boating, reading, movies, fitness and harmonicas. Chairman of the SPAH International Health Committee, he gave away hundreds of harmonicas throughout his lifetime; and he always had one with him.

Terry is survived by his wife , Elizabeth; his children, Greg (Tracy) Rand, Jennifer (Stan) Hornung of CO and Kevin Rand of Naples; their mother, Grace Rand; brother, Tom (Martha) Rand of MI; sister, Sally Hamilton of CO; half-brother, Dan (Chris) Rand of MN; and grandchildren, Brock, Pierce, Grant and Elizabeth Hornung; Martin, Evan, Logan, and Stephanie Rand of CO. His parents preceded him in death.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 7th, 10:00 a.m., St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 5130 Rattlesnake Hammock Road, Naples, FL 34113. Final committal in St. Peter's Columbarium will immediately follow. Memorials may be made to L. Terry Rand Foundation, 3728 Kent Drive, Naples, FL 34112 and St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.
