Paul Wesley Chance, age 73, of Nashville, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2009. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 15, 2009 at Calvary Baptist Church at 2pm with Brother Donnie Bryant and Brother Jimmy Dukes officiating. Burial will follow in the Cheatham Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers are Chris Conrad, David Weaks, Scott Dillard, T.J. Chance, Mark Chance, Gary Wayne Dillard, David Eyler and Ricky Layfield. Visitation was held at the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Greenbrier on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 from 5-9pm and at the church on Thursday from Noon until the hour of service. Mr. Chance was born July 25, 1935 in Springfield to the late Carter and Catherine Adams Chance. He worked as a truck driver, was a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Chance is preceded in death by his son, Paul Wesley Chance, Jr. He is survived by his son, Ricky (Donna) Layfield of Elkton, KY; daughters, Sherry Bedwell Swift and Tenia (David) Eyler, both of Clarksville; brother, Robert Bell (Betty) Chance of Springfield; sister, Ruby Greenwell of Nashville; grandchildren, Crystal Davis, Ashley Chance Green, David Wencel, James Binkley, Christy Bowen, Melissa McKenny, Angie Gregory and Nicole Layfield
