Artie T. Farris of Liberty, Ky. died November 10, 1980 at the VA Hospital in Lexington. He was 66 years old. He was born in Casey County on January 23, 1914 to the late George W. Farris and Della Sanders Farris, who survives. He was married to Rosie McFarland, who also survives. He was a retired sergeant of the U.S. Marine Corps. He served in the Marine Corps 20 years, served in both World War II and the Korean War. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 12 at 2 p.m. at Bartle Funeral Home with Rev. James McDonald officiating. Burial was in Whited Cemetery. Bartle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
