Benny came into this world on a warm spring evening in 2004 right after his twin brother Tomas. From the very start Benny was a real risk taker, never shying from a challenge and always on the go. For the first 3 1/2 year of his life Benjamin was pure joy. He enjoyed all things physical, and impressed us all with his "no fear" attitude and outgoing nature.

Unfortunately, Benny developed a seizure disorder in the winter of 2007- 2008 that mystified his doctors for some time. Finally, Dr. Sonia Partap, an extremely talented and caring neurologist at Lucille Packard's Children's Hospital diagnosed Benny with the rare neurological/genetic disorder "Batten's Disease", a terminal illness of which there is no known cure.

After being diagnosed, Benny continued to live his life to the fullest possible. The Make a Wish foundation granted him a 5 star vacation to Disney World Orlando complete with limousine services and a stay at Give the Kid's the World Resort, (a truly special place). Word's cannot describe the elation this brought Benny (and brother Tomas). We are all grateful to have had that time together and those precious memories.

Benny passed on in our loving arms at sunrise on March 25th, 2010 after fighting the good fight, teaching us all the value of life and love, as only he could.

He will be missed profoundly and remembered always with great love - our light and angel above.

"While we try to teach our children all about life,
Our children teach us what life is all about."
