"Fred Tipple It is with deep sorrow we record the death of Fred Tipple which occurred Friday evening of last week at his home one mile from Westford, on the Worcester road. He was the only son of the late Sumner Tipple and Sarah Gove Tipple and was an honorable, upright, Christian man, foremost in every good work. He will be greatly missed. Surviving him is his wife, who was Anna Lotie Chase and three lovely children, Angelina, Dorothy and Edwin; also his mother, Mrs. Sarah Tipple, three sisters, Mrs. Willis Becker of Dorloo, Mrs. Aeyro Chase and Mrs. Howard Butler of Worcester. His age was thirty-seven years. The funeral was held from the Methodist Episcopal church, Monday afternoon, the Rev. Mr. Finch of Worcester officiating. The Elk Creek Grange attended in a body and conducted the services at the grave. The floral offerings were most beautiful. The interment was in the village cemetery."
