Ackerman, Abraham (GAR), Co. K., 153rd Reg. Pa. Vol), b. Apr 27, 1821, d. Mar 7, 1899Abraham was the son of John Ackerman 1773 – 1830 and Elizabeth Kethledge 1787 – 1855.

Abraham served during the Civil War with 153rd PA Vol. Co. K. as well as 3 other relatives. On 5-6-1863, he was promoted from Corp. to Srgt. Fought at the Battle of Gettysburg. His death in 1899, in NJ, came from liver disease.
