Mrs. Anna Miller, Formerly of Camden, Dies
Camden, Sept. 15 - (Special) -
News was received this afternoon announcing the death of Mrs. Anna Ancrum Miller, widow of John D. Miller of St. Paul, Minn.
Mrs. Miller was raised in Camden, graduated from Camden high school and later attended school in Charleston.
She made her debut at the St. Cecelia ball of Charleston and participated in social life for several years there where she had many relatives.
Mrs. Miller was daughter of late Anna Calhoun and William Ancrum of Camden. She had many relatives in Camden, Charleston and other parts of South Carolina.
Her late husband was well known newspaper man of St. Paul.
For many years she visited her immediate family in Camden during winter months and never lost interest in the town and its citizens. Her health had not been good for several years and her death was not unexpected.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. A. W. Clapp; two grandchildren, William Clapp, a student at Harvard, and John Clapp, a student at a North Carolina school; three brothers, Captain William Ancrum of Pawleys Island, Cool Norwood Ancrum of Winter Park, Fla., and Thomas Ancrum of Camden.
