Born in Iona, a son of Peter Marinus Frandsen and Annie Roseta Cooper Frandsen, he married Ivy Lavender Field in the Salt Lake LDS Temple September 18, 1934. Growing up in Iona, he attended Ammon High School. In addition to working as a factory worker and custodian for the Bonnevile County School District, he was a farmer. An active member of the LDS Church, he served in many leadership capacities. Surviving family members include daughters, Karen Frandsen (Jack) Jenkins and Annette Frandsen Beck Torres; sons, Melvin Feith (Kathi) Frandsen, Richard Lynn (Linda) Frandsen, Waldon John (Karen) Frandsen; brother, Ray Edgar (Mary Jo) Frandsen; 18 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife; two daughters, Barbara Frandsen and Joyce Frandsen Moon; and eight brothers and sisters.
