Edwin "Ed" Wildenauer, 91, of Plymouth Avenue, Mattydale, died Friday at Crouse Hospital.
Born in Waukegan, Ill., he lived in Mattydale since 1948. He retired in 1973 after several years with Fruehauf Trailer Sales, Syracuse. He previously was a carpenter and builder in the Syracuse area many years. He was a member of Malden Road United Church of Christ, where he was a deacon, trustee and head usher. He was a charter member, founder and past president of the Salina Civic Senior Citizens, Mattydale, a member of Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge and a former member of the Mattydale Lions Club. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors: His wife of 53 years, the former Gloria Ashton; a daughter, Kathleen J. Wildenauer of Mattydale; a sister, Katie Wildenauer of Eslarn, Germany.
Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Krueger Funeral Home. Burial, White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt. Calling hours, 2 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home, 2619 Brewerton Road, Mattydale.
