Edith Virginia (Robbins) Norton, 81, of Spartanburg, died Sunday, December 4, 2005, at White Oak Estates.

Born December 3, 1924, in Fingerville, she was the daughter of the late Bob and Corrie (Mahaffey) Robbins and the wife of the late James Troy Norton.

Retired from Mary Black Memorial Hospital with 30 years of service, she was a member of First Church of God and the Young at Heart.

Survivors include three sons, A. J. Norton of Moore, Vance Norton of Wellford, and Bobby Norton of McGuire AFB, NJ; a daughter, Susan Smith of Woodruff; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Autumn Norton.

Visitation was 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2005, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2005, at Floyds Greenlawn Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Delbert Tangeman. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials could be made to First Church of God, Van Fund or Youth Fund, 123 Westview Boulevard, Spartanburg, SC 29306.
