Henry M. Achey, 93, of Bethlehem died Tuesday, July 27, in Country Meadows, Bethlehem Township. He was the husband of Priscilla (Klein) Achey. They were married for 69 years last month.

He was a foreman in the welding department of Bethlehem Steel Corp. before retiring in 1969 after working 42 years.

Born in Hellertown, he was a son of the late Allen and Carrie (Dimmick) Achey.

He was a member of the former Bethlehem Steel Club, Hellertown.

FOR THE RECORD - (Published Thursday, July 29, 1999) Henry M. Achey, 93, of Bethlehem, who died Tuesday, was a foreman in the weldment department of Bethlehem Steel Corp. before retiring in 1969 after working 42 years. The department he worked in was incorrect in Wednesday's obituary.

He was a baseball player in the Bethlehem area for many years.

Survivors: Wife; daughter, Jean A., wife of George Kristofik of Bethlehem; son, Lee H. of Danielsville; brother Leonard of Bethlehem; sister, Marion Griffith of Nazareth, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
