Shirley William Brasfield, 62, of Lincoln Hill Nursing Home, formerly of 320 N. Eighth, died at 1:35 a.m. Monday (May 29, 1989) in Blessing Hospital.
Mr. Brasfield was born JUuly 15, 1926 in Quincy , a son of Harold and Ruby Winn Brasfield. He married Phyllis Brown July 13, 1973 in Quincy. She survives.
Mr. Brasfield was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. He was employed for 10 years by David Cleaver Co., retiring in 1970.
Survivors also include his mother of Quincy, a step-daughter, Mrs. Christie Phillips of Quincy, two sisters, Mrs. Vera Reddick and Mrs. Betty Shipman, both of Quincy, and two step-grandchildren, Pagon Manton and Matthew Phillips, both of Quincy. He was preceded in death by his father and an infant sister, Adalene.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Bishop O. G. Dennis. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be in the funeral home from 6 to 8 Wednesday and Thursday until time of service.
