Herman Treichel. 84. formerly of 1630 Minnesota St., died at 2 p.m. Thursdav at St. Agnes Hospital. Fond du Lac. Mr. Treichel was hospitalized in Oshkosh Jan. 6. 1951. after suffering a stroke. Partially recovered, a month and a half later, he entered the Lutheran Home for Aged at Fond du Lac. In June of 1951 he sustained a fractured hip, in a fail and was taken to St. Agnes.
Born Nov. 21, 1870. in Kerstin. Germany, Mr. Treichel came to this country in 1895 after serving a term in the German army. His parents and brothers and sisters had come to Oshkosh in 1888. He was engaged with his brother in basement excavation and foundation construction work for a number of years;, but in the early 1900's was employed by Morgan Company and remained there until his retirement in 1935.
On Now 10. 1897, he was married to Carolina Woldt who died April 18. 1951. Surviving are a son, Erwin Treichel, Colorado Springs Colo., and two sisters. Miss Bertba Treiche! and Mrs. Charles Butt. Oshkosh. Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturdav at Marqiuardt Funeral Home. The Rev. M. David Fetter of Peace Lutheran Church, of which Mr. Treichel was a member, will officiate. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening,
