Jim lived a fascinating life and I remember his beautiful Excalibur car.
Jimmy "Jim" J. White age 76 of Prairie du Chien passed away at the Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, WI. Jimmy was born on January 22, 1938 in Boscobel, WI the son of Virgil and Dorothy Derby White.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Janice Check and an infant son Jeff and adult son Jamie. Jim was well known for his love of horses and was a founding member of the Prairie du Chien Children's Ranch and the Rotary Club of Prairie du Chien. He was also a member of the Wisconsin National Guard, St. Peter's Lutheran Church, the Prairie du Chien school board and as an EMT for the Prairie du Chien Rescue Squad. Funeral services will be Friday, March 14, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Rev. Joe Irvin officiating, with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery both in Prairie du Chien. Military Honors will be accorded by the Prairie du Chien Honor Guard.
