Lloyd Marion was born in Girard, Kansas in 1932. He moved to Yakima with his family and graduated from Yakima High School in 1950. He joined the Navy and served from August 1951 to August 1955. While on leave from the Navy he met his future wife Norma Jean Clark. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, they were married in Toppenish, WA on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 1956.

They lived mostly in the Seattle area until Christmas 1969, when they moved to Southern California with their 4 children, living mostly in Orange County.

Lloyd has joined his wife Norma Jean, who predeceased him in 2006. He is survived by their four children:
