Anna C. Schemel, 96, formerly of 310 Lillian Ave., died Tuesday at Loretto Geriatric Center after a long illness.
Mrs. Schemel was a native of Syracuse . She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church and was a member of its Altar and Rosary Society.
She was a Democratic committeewoman in Eastwood many years. She was the widow of George P. Schemel who died in 1939.
Surviving are a daughter, Kathryn P. Harter of DeWitt; a sister, Helene H. Dorr of Syracuse ; two brothers, Edward of Marcellus and Robert Schmuckmeier of Pompano Beach, Fla.; a grandson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Loretto Geriatric Center Chapel. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery .
