Robert Emery Jones, 60, of Lumberton, died Sunday, December 24, 2006 at UTMB in Galveston. A native of Beaumont and a lifelong resident of Lumberton, he was an insurance agent with AFLAC and was a member and vice president of Wild Horse Mustang Club of Lumberton.
His parents, Grady H. Jones and Laura Ray Jones preceded him in death.
Robert is survived by his wife, Martha Jones of Lumberton; brother, Grady Ray Jones and his wife Alice of Midland; niece, Kathy Browning and her husband Wade and their children, Justin Browning and Brittany Browning all of Aubery; aunts, Nell Lee and her husband Norman and Lucelle Foreman all of Beaumont and Margaret Farris of Galveston; uncle, John E. Ray and his wife Betty Jo of Beaumont; and other loving family members.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at Wesley United Methodist Church with a burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at the Mortuary.
