Ted E. Davidson of Lakeland, Florida, died Sunday, July 16, 1989, at the Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Joplin to Dewey and Doris Craig Davidson on February 10, 1923, moving to Pittsburg at age one.

He was married to Dorothy Evans. She preceded him in death in November of 1988.

Mr. Davidson served in the U. S. Army during World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 187 of Pittsburg, the Tampa Scottish Rite, Egypt Shrine Temple of Tampa and American Legion Post 139 of Tampa.

He moved to Florida in 1958 and operated a bluepring reproduction business until retiring in1988. He was one of the first classes of draftsmen trained by the McNally Corporation following World War II.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth L. Davidson of Atlanta, Georgia, and Richard E. Davidson of Lakeland; one brother, Denzel Davidson of Pittsburg; and four grandchildren. Three brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

Services were held July 19 with burial at Glenn Abbey Cemetery. Graveside military rites were conducted by the Lakeland American Legion Memorial Team. The burial flag will be flown in Highland Park Cemetery by the Pittsburg Avenue of Flags. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Gentry-Norrison Southside of Lakeland.
