He was born April 16, 1920 in Lansing, Michigan, a son of Simon and Louise (Tayar) Abdnour. He married Victoria Shadid on October 6, 1946 in Bloomington. She survives.
Also surviving are four sons: Edward G. Abdnour, John D. Abdnour, Michael W. Abdnour and Timothy W. Abdnour, all of Streator; and two granddaughters.
He resided most of his life in Streator. Employed by Thatcher Glass Company for 36 years prior to his retirement in 1977, he also owned and operated A & A Processing Market for many years. A veteran of World War II, he was a member of St. Anthony Church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Streator Elks, where he received the 1984 Elk of the Year award.
