Obituary – Mrs. Mary Stafford

Mrs. Mary A. Stafford, one of the esteemed Christian ladies of the city died at 1:20 o'clock Thursday morning (October 5, 1911) at her home, 923 Center avenue from cancer of the bowels, aged 81 years. Mrs. Stafford had been confined to her home about a year. She was the widow of Thomas Stafford, who preceded her to the grave January, 1907. She was born in the Scotch settlement, a daughter of the late Evan McIntosh, and resided in Wellsville practically all her life. She was for many years an active member of the First Presbyterian church. Two sons survive, James and Thomas, both at home. Three sisters and two brothers also survive, Mrs. William Fraiser of Wellsville, Kate and Jennie MacIntosh of the Scotch settlement, and Evan and J. C. MacIntosh, also of the Scotch settlement.

Funeral services will be held at two o'clock this afternoon from the home, Rev. Dr. William Reagle, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, officiating. Interment will be made in Spring Hill cemetery.
