Born in August 29, 1934 in Cumberland, MD., she was the daughter of the late Charles Raymond Burkey and Honora Cecilia Winner Burkey.
She was the wife of the late Ronald Joseph Blake who passed away in 1996.
She worked in the health care industry as a Registered Nurse with Union Memorial Hospital. She also was a school nurse for both Reisterstown Elementary and Cedarmere Elementary. She was a Member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a Eucharistic Minister at the Church. She did volunteer work at the Crisis Center and the Mission of Mercy. She belonged to the Homemakers Club and the Reisterstown Prayer Group. She enjoyed bowling, quilting, crafts, and reading.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Lee Ann and Jerry Hoppa of Manchester, Donna Marie and Richard Pendleton of Frederick and Roger Scott and Susan Blake of Reisterstown, 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and siblings: James Burkey of Georgia and Margaret Hast of North Carolina.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 AM from Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 65 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon, The Rev. Msgr. Lloyd E. Aiken officiating.
A private Interment in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
