Mrs. John Davern, a highly respected resident of Au Sable Forks, died at her home in this village Monday evening at 7:10 o'clock, aged 66 years. Mrs. Davern was born in Clintonville on March 9, 1867, and had made her home in that village until coming to Au Sable Forks in 1907. She is survived by her husband and one son Francis, and daughter-in-law, Mrs. Francis (Katharine) Davern, who are also residents of this village. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Rev. D. S. Clute officiating. Internment was in the family plot in the Clintonville cemetery.
