DAVENPORT - Visitation for Mack Bee McGowen, Davenport, will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Orr's Mortuary, Rock Island.
He died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at his home. He retired from Fischer Steel Corp. in 1988. He was born July 3, 1931, in Victory, Ark. He married Virginia Brooks in 1959 in Forrest City, Ark. A memorial fund has been established. Survivors include daughters, Linda, Margaret and Veola McGowen, all of Davenport; sons, Jayoma, Des Moines, Lang, AppleValley, Minn., Mack and Lavon, both of Davenport, and Floyd, Bronx, N.Y.; 25 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Jones, Forrest City, Ark., and Aletha McGowen, Ocelo, Ark.; and a brother, Floyd, Columbus, Miss.
