Mr. Effle died Monday of a brain tumor at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.
Bryan was born on July 16, 1965 in Creighton. He was the son of Don and Midge Effle. He grew up on a farm west of Creighton. He attended Creighton High School where he graduated with the class of 1983. He married Laurie Johnson on June 13, 1998 in Elma, Iowa. The couple lived in Norfolk where Bryan drove truck for Deitloff Transfer until 1999. He then drove truck for Norfolk Iron and Metal until the time of his death. He was a member of Sacred Heart/St.Marys Catholic Church in Norfolk. He was awarded a Goodyear Highway Hero Award with a fellow truck driver in 2002. He collected John Deere tractors, enjoyed the outdoors, and Huskers football. Bryan died of a brain tumor which was diagnosed on Christmas day of 2006.
He is survived by his wife, Laurie, three daughters, Allyson, Kylie, and Shelby. His parents, Don and Midge Effle of Norfolk, two sisters, Cindy Mills of Norfolk, and Kathy Effle - Meyer (Jeff) of Tilden, two nieces, and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Irene Effle and Frank and Mildred Cerny.
