Eastport – Carol Ann Lee, 68, passed away Monday, March 17, 2014 at a Bangor hospital with her family by her side. Carol was born in Eastport on June 17, 1945, daughter of the late William and Virginia "Dingy" (Ross) Lawrence. She attended school in Eastport and worked as a seamstress for Hathaways, and for Guilford Industries in the Mending Dept. Carol was a member of Washington Street Baptist Church in Eastport and most recently Perry Bible Fellowship. She loved being a mother, cooking, knitting, gardening, painting, riding the motorcycle, and being around her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband William Cook. Surviving are her husband Roy Lee of Eastport; four children, Anthony Cook and wife Carol of Eastport, Linda Snowdeal and husband Harper of Jonesboro, Stephen Cook of Eastport, and Elaine Horne and husband Jeffrey of Holden; eight grandchildren, Anthony II, Jason, and Robert Cook, Nicole and Robert Baker, Christopher and Joel Snowdeal, and Erin Horne; 20 great-grandchildren; a sister Theresa Mealey and husband John of Eastport; brother William Lawrence and wife Kathy of Perry; mother-in-law Mary Cook of Calais; uncle Albert Ross and family of Eastport; step-children, Roiann Chabot of Riverview, FL, Daniel Lee and wife Brenda of North Kingston, RI, and Michelle Marsh of Eastport; step-granddaughter Lydia Lee; two nieces, Jolene Stow and family of Calais, and Shannon Gove and family of Dennysville; two nephews, Robert Mealey and family of St. Stephen, and Ross Lawrence and family of Perry; special friends, Judy and Ronald Putnum; and her canine companions Cuddles and Kiki, and her feline companions Rudy and Penny.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Clarkside Cemetery in Pembroke. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
